Sophie Delhay

The French architect runs her own practice in Paris and has a teaching position at École Nationale d’Architecture de Versailles. After studying at ENSAP Lille, she worked for several years at Boskop Architecte as one of its co-founders. Sophie Delhay’s architecture sees users at the heart of each building task, and fostering a sense of community is a priority in every project. Guiding her approach is the understanding that a building is not an end in itself but the beginning of a story yet to come and inevitably pluralistic. All the projects Sophie Delhay undertakes with her practice bear witness to this philosophy, including the two residential buildings Séjours-Cathédrales and Unité(s) in Dijon – both nominated for the Mies Van der Rohe Award 2022. The latter stands out with its unique floor plans based on a square room module
