Restaurant in London

Belonging to a network of dining houses in which Belgian cuisine is presented in a unique atmosphere, this new Belgo Zuid restaurant has a street front only three metres wide. Squeezed between two brick buildings, a 12-metre-high structure with rotating prismatic elements draws attention to the restaurant. Access to the dining area is via a long corridor, the walls of which are lined with innumerable beer bottles. The timber-clad, curved form of the dining room is reminiscent of the inside of abeer barrel. The raking line of the wood boarding to the walls creates the impression that the floor slopes downwards – an optical illusion that causes some guests to stumble onleaving the restaurant.
