Office too small? A double-decker desk could solve the problem

One of the designs developed by first-term students in the Master's Design course at Lund University, Sweden, consists of a piece of furniture named "Bunk desk - I call shotgun!". The term "shotgun" is slang for the front-seat passenger of a vehicle.   To enable workers in small office to withdraw for concentrated work, the bunk desk offers two laptop workplaces, one of which can be reached by climbing a double ladder structure at the side. This is a smart solution in my opinion, especially for small companies or start-ups having to take on more employees but not yet able to afford larger premises.    The "In Our Office" project was initiated and supported by the Munich designer and guest professor Stefan Diez in collaboration with Rolf Hay, co-founder of the Hay label.
