Kori table lamp from Artek

Artek introduces the new lighting collection Kori, designed by Stockholm-based TAF Studio. Through its combination of intelligent modular design and pared-back aesthetics, Kori achieves a contemporary take on the modernist union of form and function. At the core of this design logic, and the quality of light produced, is its central “basket” (kori in Finnish). This unique element is key to Kori’s distinct blend of direct and indirect light, evocative of sunlight filtered through tree leaves. The compact floor light provides accent or reading lighting in larger spaces, while the table light – a new typology in Artek’s portfolio – is a flexible alternative for bedside tables, sideboards, or shelves.
The Kori pendant light comes in three models. Without a shade, it provides a direct downlight and a diffused uplight, making it ideal as an accent light, or for smaller spaces such as hallways. With the addition of the elegant Dune shade, it is perfect for dining tables, illuminating the surface below while spreading a glare-free light across a wider area. The inverted Disc shade reflects a soft cone of diffused light downwards, enhancing smaller tables and sideboards. Hung in series, it provides an even light - and an eye-catching feature - in larger rooms.

Die gesamte Herstellung der Kori Collection findet in einem Umkreis von 200 km in Italien statt. Der druckgegossene „Lichtkorb“ besteht zu 100 % aus recyceltem Aluminium. Die Langlebigkeit wird durch die universelle E27-Fassung garantiert, die einen einfachen Austausch der Glühbirnen ermöglicht.

All manufacture of Kori Collection takes place within a 200 km radius in Italy, and the die-cast “light basket” is made from 100% recycled aluminium. Longevity is guaranteed by the universal E27 socket, which ensures that light bulbs can be easily replaced. This socket also lets users choose from a full range of bulbs – including the latest energy-efficient options – ensuring that the desired atmosphere can be achieved.
