Transparency and Lightness: ETFE foil by Vector Foiltec

In Texlon ETFE technology, two to five layers of ETFE foil form air-pressure-stable cushions. ETFE foil is transparent, but is also available in any colour or printed. The number of layers in a cushion depends on the project-specific requirements with regard to building statics and thermal performance. The g- and U-values of a system can be fine-tuned not only by the number of foil layers, but also by means of a surface coating and treatment as well as embedded pigments. ETFE foil cushions provide pleasant acoustics, and their variability in design and reflective properties also allow them to be a design feature.
