By way of update, UN Studios have release some images of the central platforms of their Arnham Station project. Arnham station is where several high speed routes to Germany converge, and has seen a steady increase in passenger numbers in recent times. The canopies are one of the first stages of the masterplan, and provide an exciting glimpse of what is to come.
The concept of the design is about unifying the station's appearance with a sense of light and space. There are four canopies each approximately 210 metres long and of varying widths between 9-14 metres. The structure is steel, with aluminium cladding and cold formed glass.
