Sound-absorbing Floors

In the apartments, the hotel and the cinema of the KPTN quarter in HafenCity Hamburg, the Lindner Group installed almost 40,000 m² of dry construction elements, processed 80,000 m² of walls and ceilings, supplied 88 windows and 382 steel and 1,500 wooden doors as well as partition walls and doors for sanitary areas. In addition, special solutions in the form of wall, floor and ceiling systems were used to achieve very high sound insulation. The Floor and more arena system was used in the cinema. Here, the undulating floor design, untypical for movie theatres, required supports, some of which were over 2 m high and with a maximum inclination of 6.4°, which made it necessary to measure the elevations separately from row to row. Lindner Firewood, a wall cladding made of wood, was used in numerous entrance areas, despite these
areas also being escape routes.
