Sergio Sebastián Franco
Recent works undertaken by his practice, Sebastían Arquitectos, founded in 2006 and based in Zaragoza, include Espacio Arqueológico in Daroca and the main courthouse in Aragón. Also the San Juan de Ruesta Chapel, which Sergio Sebastían restored and extended simply and sensitively. Sebastían also developed a masterplan to revive the abandoned village of Ruestra, located on the Camino de Santiago (St. James’ Way) in northern Spain. Besides architectural commissions, Sebastían Arquitectos take on a wide variety of tasks, including landscape design, interior design, and product, lighting and graphic design. Sebastían studied at ETSA in Madrid, where he completed his undergraduate degree in 2002 and a doctorate in 2016. He has been a professor at University of Zaragoza since 2009 and a guest lecturer at Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, and IUAV Venice.
