Sound-Absorbing Lights
Artemide’s acoustic lights combine modern lighting technology with effective noise reduction. They are called Nur Acoustic, Eggboard, Silent Field 2.0 and Ripple. Their noise-reducing elements as well as geometries are geared to the frequencies of the human voice, and work both in home and office environments. Inspired by the egg crates used in band rehearsal rooms and recording studios, the Eggboard series uses two layers of recycled polyester and a corrugated surface for sound insulation. With Silent Field 2.0, circular craters of different sizes and depths in the material absorb sound. The Ripple series was created in cooperation with BIG. Its circular, freely-combinable elements can be supplemented with fabric diffusers.
