Reception in Spreepalais by Rosskopf+Partner

One counter, 18 stools and a wall panel of the mineral material Avonite from Aristech Surfaces LLC now adorn the reception area of the Spreepalais am Dom, completed in 2002 in Berlin. The architect Resa Gartner, who already planned the building with neo systems architects and implemented the project together with Rosskopf + Partner, redesigned the reception area and the adjoining atrium in early 2017 with well-aimed modifications of the existing architecture. Striking to the eye is the homogeneous, semi-matt surface of the mineral material Avonite, which was custom tailored for parts of the interior design. The purpose of redesigning the reception area was to reorganise the traffic zones and to ­create a more comfortable atmosphere. The malleable mineral material Avonite provides a clear contrast to the interior design and furniture elements of wood.
