Rapin Saiz Architectes
Based in Vevey, Switzerland, Vincent Rapin and Maria Saiz have been architectural collaborators since 2003. Their work focuses on revitalizing existing structures, such as the restoration and extension of a town-house in Vevey. Their designs are distinguished by materials honouring the building’s history, construction approaches arising from the context, and balancing sometimes competing sustainability requirements. Vincent Rapin earned his architecture degree in Lausanne, while Maria Saiz studied in Madrid. Both began teaching at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale (EPF) in Lausanne before assuming professorial roles at the Université Catholique in Louvain, Belgium, since 2019.
