Whether in the form of translucent sheets, membranes spanning large distances, air-filled cushions or as organic, curvilinear space structures: all of a sudden plastics have taken hold in architecture. This has been made possible by technical developments and the concomitant, ever-improved properties, but also by a new perception of these materials.
