Our Favourites: Three Small Projects from BIG

We have selected three small projects from BIG for you that could not be more diverse: 
a ubiquitously placeable Tiny House offers self-sufficient living quality on the smallest scale, the redesign of a posh Danish restaurant even inspires the menu and a house for pandas creates a symbolic balance in the Copenhagen Zoo.

Small – Smaller – Klein A45: Made-to-Measure Mini-House by BIG

Just 17 m², customized, energy self-sufficient and suitable for even the most remote places: with the Klein A45 project, BIG impressively show how big a house in mini-format can be. Over a tiny space, they have created a retreat featuring a fascinating design and fittings in natural materials.

Culinary Redesign: Noma 2.0 by BIG

With the redesign of this posh restaurant, Copenhagen has regained an attractive meeting point for epicures. A cooperative project between the architecture studio and client has led to a fresh new concept reflected both externally in the architecture and in terms of content in the seasonal menu.

Ying and Yang at the Copenhagen Zoo: Panda House by BIG

For Mao Sun and Xing Er, the two pandas residing at the Copenhagen Zoo, BIG have created the Panda House as a circular plan with each half representing yin and yang respectively.
