One House – Many Glass Solutions by Glas Trösch

All the rooms are fitted with floor-to-ceiling window elements that visually bring the exterior space into the interior. The rear-ventilated curtain wall requires little maintenance and servicing, as the individual glass panels, up to three metres high, can be replaced at any time. Grey paint was baked onto the 8 mm-thick toughened safety glass as a ceramic coating using the roller printing process. The glass elements are durable, abrasion-resistant, UV-resistant and largely solvent-resistant. The room-high triple glazing with Silverstar coating protects against heat in summer and heat loss in winter. On the upper floor, floor-deep swing doors were used, which were fitted with a glass French balcony as fall protection. The filigree Swissrailing two sided glass railing maintains the transparency of the facade, and the view to the outside can be enjoyed without intrusive construction elements being visible.  www.glastroesch.ch
