Oana Bogdan
The Romanian-Belgian architect completed her studies in architecture in 2002 in Flanders at the University of Antwerp and in 2003 in Romania at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Planning. In 2007 she founded the office Bogdan & Van Broeck together with Leo Van Broeck, which was renamed &bogdan in 2022. Beyond her work as an architect, her engagement extends to societal and political debates. In 2016, as interim secretary of state in Romania, she coordinated the area of cultural heritage. After that she became a founding member of the Romanian party Plus. For two years was also president of the expert committee “Good Living”, responsible for reforming the building code in the Brussels region. She is active in representing architectural interests in Europe, as a public speaker, juror, member of auditing committees for government authorities and in numerous executive boards of non-profit organisations.
