New BIG Monograph with 20 Projects
MECA Perfoming Arts Center - Bordeaux, France, ©Laurian-Ghinitoiu
The Hyperloop or a new habitat on the moon? Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is known worldwide for its visionary architecture. Its bold ideas are not merely a beautiful utopia but also built reality. A new monograph published by Edition Detail shows the design, construction, and technical means that transform BIG’s buildings into reality.
20 projects are documented, from small observation towers to multi-storey housing, from experiential museums to elegant restaurants. Plans show the spatial organization while sections reveal ingenious details.

Besides signature projects like 8 House in Copenhagen and the Méca Performing Arts Centre in Bordeaux, this book exclusively presents one of BIG’s most exciting current projects: The Plus, a furniture factory on a 20-hectare forest plot in Norway is a wooden structure built to stringent sustainability criteria.
