Metal-covered Sports Hall

South of Gratkorn in Styria lies the Hackher Barracks. The completely renovated sports hall there is visually modelled on an aircraft hangar. Thus its supporting structure is based on arched wooden trusses. The roof was covered with 1,360 m² of rounded Domitec profiles from Domico. The lighting elements installed at gable height along the entire length of the building provide natural light in the sports facility. The white soffit of the element roof also gives the hall a bright and friendly appearance inside. According to the manufacturer, the metal profiles can be produced according to the customer’s wishes in almost any shape and RAL colour. Openings for domelights and strip lighting are planned during production, simplifying on-site assembly. The elements are fixed without penetration.
