In 1990 Svein Lund and Einar Hagem founded their architectural practice in Oslo, which now has a roster of more than 60 employees and is run by six partners. Simplicity, functionality, and continuous dialogue with planning partners, clients, and the public are characteristics that distinguish their approach. The firm’s 100-plus realized projects include numerous weekend homes in the Norwegian countryside, but also larger residential, office, and cultural buildings. For the Deichman Library, their collaboration with Atelier Oslo started with the competition phase in 2009. The two firms recently partnered up again to realize the Climate House at the Botanical Garden in Oslo.
