Lignatur AG, based in Waldstatt, Switzerland, manufactures load-bearing ceilings and roofs made of wood. The industrially produced, high-precision elements are material-efficient and particularly light. They can be used to bridge large spans.

In addition to their high load-bearing capacity, they also offer all the physical building qualities required in modern residential, school and sports hall construction. In terms of fire protection and sound insulation, for example, Lignatur ceilings achieve the best values in every respect. In addition, it is possible to optimize room acoustics through special perforations on the surface of the element. With the acoustic types in dynamic design, there are virtually no limits to the architect's creativity. With Lignatur ceilings and roofs, “shell construction equals finishing”, because the visible wood offers the best surface quality. This means there is no need for planking or suspended ceilings.

We are particularly proud of the European Technical Approval (ETA-11/0137), which confirms the performance of our load-bearing timber ceiling and roof elements. It also includes proof of perforated acoustic soffits in combination with a fire resistance of up to REI 90.
