Leopold Banchini

Leopold Banchini founded his architectural practice in Geneva in 2016. He previously worked with Daniel Zamarbide under the name Bureau A. With their projects, the multidisciplinary team explores the boundaries of spatial design. They understand architecture as social action that embraces do-it-yourself culture and eclecticism. LBA's work ranges from small self-built installations to large-scale public buildings. The elevated Casa CCFF residence was prefabricated and constructed entirely of wood. In addition to private clients, numerous cultural institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, MOT Tokyo, Swissnex San Francisco or the Architecture Triennale in Lisbon are among the clients. Leopold Banchini's office has been awarded various prizes and the works have been exhibited in international museums. The office will also participate in the next Architecture Biennale in Venice.
