jessenvollenweider
After studying architecture at ETH Zurich, Harvard University, and Columbia University, Anna Jessen and Ingemar Vollenweider launched their architecture practice in Berlin in 1999. In 2003 they moved their office to Basel. Sven Kowalewsky has been the third partner at Jessenvollenweider since 2019. Since its founding, the practice has distinguished itself by mastering challenging contexts, such as with the new building for the Office for Environment and Energy in Basel. Anna Jessen and Ingemar Vollenweider are also involved in teaching; after professorships at TU Darmstadt and TU Kaiserslautern, they have jointly held the Chair of Urban Design at TU Dortmund since 2018.
