Java architecture
Java architecture in Paris was founded in 2014 by Florian Levy, Alma Bali, and Laurent Sanz as a collective of architects. Taking a pragmatic approach, they aim to create architecture that is integrated into its context and takes user needs into account. Java architecture researches and implements mainly everyday projects, such as apartments, houses, and living units. Due to the limited availability of land in urban areas, along with a rising demand for space and an urgent need to preserve unsealed surfaces, they have specialized in projects within existing buildings, such as renovations, vertical additions, and extensions. Sustainability is a priority for the architects, which is clearly reflected in their selection of cost-effective and efficient materials.
