Henning Larsen
Strongly rooted in the traditions of Scandinavian design, this Copenhagen-based architectural firm still bears the name of its founder Henning Larsen, who died in 2013. The office is managed by 19 partners and has offices in New York, Munich, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Oslo and the Faroe Islands. It is active in the fields of architecture, urban planning and interior design, placing an emphasis on the relationship between people and space as well the importance of light. The architects work primarily with public clients and conduct research in conjunction with their projects. For their school in Aarhus, they examined the influence of artificial light on learning behaviour, with surprising results.
