From Stuttgart 21 to Norwegian timber

The UK-based Fourth Door Magazine has long been renowned for its unique mixture of in-depth articles and interviews on art, architecture, music and ecological thinking. Now Fourth Door has re-launched two of its web-magazines, Unstructured and Annular.
The new re-launched Unstructured features an enhanced architectural section, Sitelines. Features include the architectural, engineering and planning dimension of Germany's Stuttgart 21 controversy, a special report on the emergence of Passivhaus in Britain, Peter Zumthor in London, Danish practice Vandkunsten's ‘Adaptive Futures’ research, and a photo-essay on Studio in the Woods by Ioana Marinescu. Unstructured also continues to feature art-focused and other pieces. Annular provides a web-portal into the new twenty-first timber architecture and design communities, profiling new buildings and projects from across Europe. Annular's new edition includes a focus the emergence of timber hi-rise across Europe, how massive timber came to Britain, and Helsinki's Wood School and other Finnish projects.
