Weisenburger’s new corporate headquarters in Karlsruhe, designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, includes 650 workstations, 15 meeting rooms, a cafeteria and a fitness studio. In addition, there is a terrace on the roof and three underground parking storeys. Inside the building, Teckentrup 62 FST EI290 sliding doors combine the high requirements of fire protection, functionality and design. With their cool, modern industrial look and underscored by the flush-mounted design, they blend harmoniously into Ando’s architectural language. One special feature: The zero-threshold 1.2 m × 2.1 m wicket door facilitates the movement of persons even when the gate is closed. The doors also effectively protect against fire and smoke in stairwells and underground garages. Having been approved, the product already bears the CE mark.
