Finckh Architekten
Originally established in 1971, Finckh Architekten in Stuttgart has been operating under its current name since 2005. It is now run by its second generation of architects, brothers Thomas Sixt Finckh (1966) and Chris Finckh (1974). Their Tiny House for senior citizens in Esslingen is the most compact single-family home yet built by the firm, which specializes in buildings for small plots and façade surfaces made of highly insulating polycarbonate. They have also enjoyed a wide range of commissions across all service phases, from interior design to urban development. A notable example is their award-winning Kinderhaus 2030, which they built in 2019 in Heilbronn’s new Neckarbogen district for the 2019 Federal Garden Show.
