FAZ architectes
Véronique Favre and Tanya Zein founded their practice in Geneva in 2016. Their work centres on respecting and comprehending the existing context, highlighting the continuation of traditions, and cherishing craftsmanship. In their architectural projects, they demonstrate sensitivity to the site’s unique qualities by employing restrained design principles and prioritizing the use of environmentally friendly, recyclable building materials. Their motto is to create a “happy frugality” rooted in cultural, ethical, and environmental values. The two architects primarily focus on designing buildings intended for public use. Their architectural approach is clearly seen at the school in Riaz where they used natural regionally sourced building materials.
