Pascal Bach
Pascal Bach, born in Zurich, completed an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman at raumfachwerk ag from 2008 to 2012 and completed his technical vocational baccalaureate at BZU Uster in 2013. He studied architecture at the ZHAW Winterthur (Bachelor 2014-2017) and deepened his knowledge with an MAS ETH DFAB in architecture and digital fabrication (2020-2021).
He joined Penzel Valier in 2017, took on the role of project manager in 2022 and was appointed team leader in 2023. He has been part of the extended management team since summer 2024. In addition to traditional architecture, his expertise includes facade engineering, parametric design and circular construction.

Ulrike Dix
Ulrike Dix was born in Chemnitz in 1980. After graduating from high school in 1998, she went to Weimar to study architecture. After studying at the Berlin University of the Arts in the meantime, she graduated from the Bauhaus University Weimar in 2005. In 2006 Ulrike Dix became part of the AFF collective. In 2011 she became an associate and later a partner and managing director.

Steffen Dix
Dr. Steffen Dix is a civil engineer with a focus on structural glass construction and facade technology. After studying civil engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences, he completed his doctorate on the subject of optical anisotropy effects in glass and subsequently worked in research, expert opinions and industry. Since 2024, he has been Head of Materials and Testing at seele GmbH, where he drives the development of pioneering facade solutions.

Mourad El Garci
Mourad El Garci is an architect with extensive international experience, having worked on projects in France, Brazil, Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, and Spain. With over 12 years at Alucoil, he has led major international projects, seamlessly combining technical expertise with a strong sales-driven approach. He holds a Master’s in Architecture (MBArch) from UPC Barcelona and a Master’s in Facade Engineering from UPV in the Basque Country. Currently, he supports Alucoil’s international sales team, using his expertise to enhance the company’s global market presence.

Philipp Molter
Philipp Lionel Molter (*1976 in St. Ingbert) is an architect and professor of climate-friendly construction at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. After an apprenticeship as a draughtsman, he studied architecture and urban planning at the University of Stuttgart and EPF Lausanne. From 2006 to 2010, he worked as an architect at the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris, where he was involved in major international projects and dealt intensively with innovative facade technology.
In 2010, he moved to the Technical University of Munich, where he researched the interface between the building envelope and sustainability, completed his doctorate and was appointed Academic Councilor in 2016. After a professorship for architecture and design at the IU Munich, he was appointed to the professorship for climate-friendly construction at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in 2024, where he is dedicated to the development of sustainable and resource-saving building concepts.
His studiomolter office researches and develops pioneering facade and energy concepts with architectural aspirations. Molter has received numerous awards, including the German Solar Prize 2024, the German Brick Prize 2021 and the Dr. Marschall Prize 2016. He is also the patent holder of a hygro-reactive facade system and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Facade Design and Engineering.

Marco Rickenbacher
Marco Rickenbacher was born in Rheinfelden in 1984. Apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman in Liestal, studied at the HSLU in Lucerne, at the FHNW in Basel and at the UdK in Berlin. From 2009 employee at Esch Sintzel Architekten, since 2017 member of the management, 2021-2023 partner. Partner at SERA - Studio Esch Rickenbacher Architektur AG from 2024.

Jakob Schoof
For the last 20 years, the current Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Detail has been involved in the communication of architecture. After graduating from the University of Karlsruhe with a degree in architecture in 2000, he completed a traineeship at the architecture magazine AIT, where he worked as an editor and as director of corporate publishing. Jakob Schoof joined Detail in 2009, where he has been responsible for the Detail Green series of magazines and books on sustainable building, as well as for structure, a magazine on structural design.

Claudia Hildner
After studying architecture at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Tokyo, Claudia Hildner interned with Baumeister magazine in 2006. She later worked as a freelance editor, among others, for the Metamorphose – Bauen im Bestand. From 2009 to 2011, she was based in Tokyo, and in the following years, her books “Kleine Häuser” and “Future Living” were published by Birkhäuser Verlag. Hildner was an editor from 2019 to 2022 for the online encyclopedia “Baunetz Wissen”. In August 2022, she joined the Detail editorial team, where she focuses on product-related topics.
