Domestic Hot-water Heat Pump
The Daikin Altherma M HW domestic hot water heat pump is suitable for new buildings and modernisation purposes and offers flexible installation thanks to its compact dimensions. The domestic hot-water heat pump uses the waste heat from rooms, generated by a boiler or electrical appliances, to produce hot water. The exhaust air from the domestic hot-water heat pump is not only colder than the room air, but also completely dehumidified, which is why it can be used for targeted cooling in the summer. As a plug-and-play system, the unit is designed to be ready for use and merely requires connection to the water pipes. With the Altherma M HW, 25 % of the system’s energy requirements come from electricity, while 75 % is obtained regeneratively from ambient heat. The heat pump can be connected to a solar or photovoltaic system. The bivalent model of the domestic hot water heat pump is equipped with an additional heat exchanger for direct connection to a solar heating system. The Daikin Altherma M HW domestic hot-water heat pump is classified as energy efficiency class A+ according to the EU Ecodesign Directives.
