A rock formation at the confluence

In Rennes, MVRDV have erected the Ilot de l’Octroi residential complex. The polygonal passive-energy buildings are covered in thousands of tiles; the architects have connected the surfaces, colour gradations and shapes of these tiles with the surrounding environment.
