CO2-negative Carpet Tiles

With the Embodied Beauty carpet tile collection, Interface is launching its first CO₂-negative floor coverings. Designer Kari Pei's designs combine the principles and aesthetics of Japanese culture with everything from narrow monochromatic patterns to large-scale graphic tufted textures. The seven designs and six colourings include three CO₂-negative, cradle-to-gate product variations – Shishu Stitch, Tokyo Texture and Zen Stitch – that combine the new CQuest BioX backing with special yarns and tufting processes. This means that they bind more carbon than all the manufacturer's previous textile products, and their CO₂ footprint is minus 0.26 kg/m². Four other products in muted greys and warm and cool shades – Geisha Gather, Sashiko Stitch, Simple Sash and Vintage Kimono – are CO₂ neutral throughout the product lifecycle, as are all Interface floorings. All the designs can be combined with one another.
