Bruno Fioretti Marquez
Piero Bruno, Donatella Fioretti and José Gutierrez Marquez regularly take up the challenge of new competitions, which they approach through intensive theoretical discussions. They founded their office in 1995 in Berlin and opened a second branch in Lugano in 2009, working on projects around the world that have originated almost exclusively from successful competition entries. Though they cover a broad spectrum in terms of content and design, a central focus has been in the context of Unesco World Heritage Sites. Examples include the new Bauhaus Gropius-Meisterhaus in Dessau, the Potsdam University Campus Am Neuen Palais and the conversion of Wittenberg Castle, which was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2019.
