ACMS Architekten
Founded in 1998, Wuppertal-based ACMS Architekten is now led by a collaborative six-member second-generation team. From the outset, sustainability and resource efficiency have been central to the firm’s philosophy, extending beyond the firm’s own operations. ACMS was a founding member of the DGNB in 2007, and is also a signatory of the “Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency” initiative. The firm specialises in timber construction, prefabrication, and adaptive re-use, delivering innovative and sustainable designs that consistently push boundaries in both planning and execution. Complementing its built work, ACMS engages in research projects that make findings accessible to a wider audience and driving architectural innovation. The university campus in Rosenheim was recognised with the Balthasar Neumann Prize.
