A Living Room Under a Bridge by Burri
Foto: Hersteller
In autumn 2017, the “Outdoors Living Room” was built near the Zwicky-Areal in Dübendorf, Switzerland. The aim was to create a cosy atmosphere. The initial scepticism concerning whether it would be possible to create a lively space under this bridge has now vanished. Under the bare railway viaduct, oversized bedside lamps and wooden sofas and armchairs from Burri create a feel-good atmosphere.
The wide-beam LED special luminaires were tested using a 1:1 prototype. This made it possible to achieve optimum illumination and effect. The robust lampshade was rounded using a metal pressing process. The seats stand on steel substructures and are covered with robust Accoya wood. The wood was dyed with pigmented oil. The design is the work of Studio Vulkan in Zurich. www.burri.world
