Framed to the north and south by traffic corridors, the rectangular building lot is located in the middle of Warsaw’s industrial area. The two-storey structure stands at the north end of the lot and has a square plan. The only cut into this simple cubature is the 16 X 16-metre rooftop garden, which joins onto the foyer in the southeast corner.
The entire building is covered in a shimmering metallic raiment. The parallel exteriors follow the same design concept in order to respond to the requirements set by the surroundings. The east and west sides have been clad in corrugated aluminum sheeting. However, the north and south façades are the true highlight. These comprise laser-cut stainless-steel lamellae which echo the technological inner life of the company. Their varying widths create a fluid, graphic overall impression. The massive elements lie on the outer shell in a gradual progression. Sometimes they shelter the interior from direct sunlight and inquisitive glances; sometimes they open up a bit and allow views of the landscape. At night, the lamellae diffuse the interior lighting to the outside of the building in diverse patterns.
The building is accessed from the east. Here, the doorway in the southeast corner leads to a square foyer that extends over both storeys. The entire spatial program is based on a diagonal reaching from the entryway to the opposite corner. This striking axis divides the structure into the generous, classy northern areas and a smaller south-facing structure. Everything is arranged around a non-central cube that accommodates the technical area and storage spaces downstairs and the rooftop garden above.
The ground floor is home to the heart of the operations and service centre: the showroom. This is where the machines are presented. The two-storey height of this area creates an airy atmosphere. In addition there are exhibition areas, offices and training rooms.
Along with the sheltered rooftop garden with its view of the showroom, the upper level offers space for management, meeting rooms, more offices and the cafeteria.
