Transparent Acoustic Fabrics

Düsseldorf architectural office bkp has transformed an old warehouse in Wesel on the Lower Rhine into a modern working environment for BYK-Chemie. To enable concentrated work in the 3000 m² open-plan space, a particularly high acoustic standard was required. The transparent acoustic fabric Formoza from Vescom serves as a privacy screen and room divider. The high porosity of the fabric and the special weaving technique used in its manufacture allow it to absorb up to five times more sound than other transparent curtain fabrics. In addition, Formoza is translucent, flame retardant and washable up to 70°.
