Our Favourites: Three Danish educational buildings by COBE
Instrument of Change: Library and culture house in Tingbjerg
Tingbjerg is a planned neighbourhood from the 1950s. Today it is a multicultural area of Copenhagen, where the citizens have been missing a place to assemble and engage with each other.
Now, the new library and culture house by Cobe Architects will become a new meeting point and strengthen the sense of community among local residents.

Mini village: Kindergarten in Denmark
How do children see a house? This is one of the questions the architects at COBE asked themselves in planning Frederiksvej Kindergarten. The ensemble of eleven small houses they came up with is notable for its restraint. At the same time the simple volumes are tantamount to a built version of a simple line drawing, thus reflecting the way houses are seen through the eyes of children.
