Autonomous Solar Light Column

In cooperation with solar specialist Hei from Austria, Selux has launched the Lukida solar light column. The luminaire head, solar module and pole are integrated into the cylindrical shape. Due to the precise optics, Lukida does not produce any stray light and thus protects the night sky from light pollution. The microcontroller integrated into the pole connects the luminaire, solar module and battery pack, controls the battery-charging processes and optimises energy consumption with intelligent dimming profiles. Lukida can be operated completely autonomously, making it particularly suitable for applications where there is no power supply and environments that are sensitive to tampering. The luminaire head, solar module and mast form a continuous cylinder with a diameter of 160 mm. The columns with a height of 4 to 6 m height offer space for solar modules with one or two times 134 WP. Luminous fluxes of up to 3,600 lumens and light colours of 2,700, 3,000 and 4,000 K are available. These luminaires can be connected via wireless interfaces and integrated into smart city systems.
