DETAIL Travel Berlin 15 - 18 May 2025
This tour of the German capital with DETAIL will introduce you to the most exciting architectural and urban planning interventions of recent years. The focus lies not on the well-known, but above all on new living and working environments and cultural projects which have drastically changed everyday life and neighbourhood structures in many areas of the city.
Our architectural guide will take you from your centrally located hotel at Hackescher Markt in Mitte on a journey of discovery through Spandauer Quarter, Museum Island and Tacheles Quartier - the latest Herzog de Meuron project. A visit to the large-scale Berlin city model will give you an overview of urban developments since the German reunification and a tour along the former Berlin Wall between the districts Kreuzberg and Mitte will provide insights into the profound transformation of the city.
As part of the four-day city trip, you will also immerse yourself in the former working-class district of Wedding and get to know the Lobe Block building and the former Rotaprint site. On the last day, the programme includes Gleisdreieck Park and a visit to the neighbouring contemporary residential buildings. Exclusive interior visits and meetings with the architects and project participants allow you to take a look behind the scenes of the projects.
Please note that the tour is conducted in ENGLISH! On request the tour can also be booked without an overnight stay in a hotel (mail@detail.de).
