Refurbishment with facade robots

It can detect cracks and moisture, integrate solar chips into a facade and carry out renovations and coatings. It is also suitable for applying and renovating the solar power concrete DysCrete, also developed by BAU KUNST ERFINDEN, on facades.

The Plotbot/Crawler facade robot is guided by several computer-controlled wire spools. The wire spools can move the robots briefly away from the facade to overcome obstacles such as windows or ledges. A main task of the Plotbot/Crawler facade robot is to apply and renew the DysCrete solar-power concrete on facades. DysCrete generates energy through an electrochemical reaction and combines the advantages of solar cells with those of concrete: fire safety, high strength and durability.
